Dune Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to Dune (the “App”), provided by Yoshinn CO., LTD. (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Dune offers a virtual altar, meditation and daily-practice records, content packages, and optional creator verification. Ordinary use does not require an account.

2. Information stored on your device

The following information normally stays on your device and is not automatically sent to our account servers:

• Language, display, notification, and other settings
• Altar layouts, background images, music, and other selected materials
• Wishes, practice and meditation records, and usage history
• Content packages you create or import
• Local trial and subscription-entitlement state needed by the App

Deleting the App may delete this local information. Restoring a purchase restores subscription entitlement, not your local backgrounds, music, content, or practice records.

3. App Store subscriptions

Apple processes subscription purchases, billing, renewals, cancellation, and refunds. The App receives product identifiers, purchase status, expiration dates, and other information needed to determine entitlement through Apple’s systems. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details. Apple’s privacy policy governs Apple’s handling of data.

4. Optional creator verification

Creator verification is optional. If you do not apply, you do not need to send us your name, email address, phone number, photo, or supporting documents.

If you apply, the App creates a .lamaverify package on your device. It may contain:

• Public display name and applicant name
• Contact email address and phone number
• Profile, biography, and other information you enter
• A verification portrait or profile image
• Documents used to verify identity, a monastic profile, lineage, or a temple

The App opens the system mail composer only after your action. Nothing is sent until you review the contents and recipient and send the email. You may also send the saved package with an email service of your choice.

We use received information only to verify identity and the application, prevent fraud, contact the applicant, and issue signed verification credentials. Verification materials are retained in the review mailbox and access-controlled review devices only as long as reasonably needed for review, credential management, dispute handling, and legal compliance, and are securely deleted when no longer needed.

Verified content packages may contain matching hashes instead of plain-text email addresses or phone numbers. Verification confirms creator information; it is not our endorsement or guarantee of the creator’s content, religious views, or outcomes.

5. Photos, documents, and email

The App uses the iOS photo or document picker only when you explicitly choose to do so and does not access unselected items. It may open the mail composer for a verification application but cannot send mail without your confirmation.

6. Information we do not collect; no tracking

Dune does not track users for advertising and does not include third-party advertising or behavioral-analytics SDKs. During ordinary use, we do not receive precise location, contacts, IMEI, MAC address, camera video, microphone audio, calls, or screen-sharing content.

7. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share information only with the email service you choose to submit a verification application, with Apple for subscription and payment processing, when required by law or a valid official request, or when you explicitly request or consent to the sharing.

8. Security and retention

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information, including access restrictions for verification materials, integrity checks using signatures and hashes, and appropriate management of review devices. No electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

9. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, restrict, or delete verification information we hold. You control on-device data through the App and by deleting the App. We may request additional information to verify your identity before responding.

10. Minors

Users below the applicable legal age should use the App with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. Where required, we may verify parental consent for a minor’s creator-verification application.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy when the App or applicable law changes. Material changes will be announced in the App or on our official website.
